Hiroyuki Yoshida
Originally from Yamagata Prefecture, Hiroyuki Yoshida became captivated by the charm of French cuisine. After honing his skills in wine and hospitality at a hotel in the Tateshina Highlands, he spent approximately 30 years as a restaurant manager at the Hakuba Resort Hotel La Neige Higashikan in Hakuba Village, Nagano Prefecture. Recognizing the allure of pairing French cuisine with Japanese wine, he began contracting with wineries in his home prefecture of Yamagata, and has since cultivated relationships with wineries throughout Japan. In 2008, he was responsible for selecting and serving the Japanese wines offered at the 34th G8 Summit held in Lake Toya, Hokkaido. He currently serves as a member of the sensory evaluation panel that judges the taste of GI Nagano wines.
