
One-night-only Pairing Dinner & Talk Event to be Held on Saturday, April 19th
~ Savor Exquisite Pairings of Carefully Selected Japanese Wines from Nagano’s Five Wine Valleys with Cuisine by HOTEL LA VIGNE HAKUBA’s Head Chef ~
HOTEL LA VIGNE HAKUBA by Onko Chishin (hereinafter referred to as La Vigne Hakuba) will host the first installment of a special event showcasing the appeal of Japanese wine on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
Originally, this event was scheduled to feature a talk show with Mr. Toyoo Tamamura, owner of Villa d’Est Winery Co., Ltd. (located in Tomi City, Nagano Prefecture, hereinafter referred to as Villa d’Est Winery), who is active as an essayist and painter and operates a winery in Tomi City, Nagano Prefecture. However, due to various circumstances, he will not be able to attend. In his place, Mr. Konishi, President and Representative Director of the same winery, will be present on the day.We sincerely apologize to all those who were looking forward to Mr. Tamamura’s appearance for this sudden change and ask for your understanding.
On the day, we will offer precious wines from Nagano’s five wine valleys that cannot be tasted elsewhere as pairings. Additionally, in the free tasting section, we have prepared an opportunity for you to sample rare “legendary wines.” Furthermore, please enjoy the extensive lineup of Nagano wines to the fullest while listening to Mr. Konishi’s commentary on the Shinshu Wine Valley.
Moreover, at the one-night-only pairing dinner, you can savor the exquisite marriage of carefully selected wines from Nagano Wine Valley with French cuisine crafted by La Vigne Hakuba’s head chef, Hamano, utilizing ingredients nurtured by Shinshu’s rich soil.
Furthermore, we are also offering a special accommodation package that combines this event with a stay at La Vigne Hakuba.

■about Mr. Takeshi Konishi
Born in Shiga Prefecture. After completing his master’s degree at Kyoto University’s Faculty of Agriculture, he joined Takara Shuzo. He has been involved in brewing since Villa d’Est’s founding and currently leads the winery as President and Representative Director as well as Head of Cultivation and Brewing. President and Representative Director of Villa d’Est Winery.
■about HOTEL LA VIGNE HAKUBA Head Chef Norio Hamano
After gaining experience at city hotels in Osaka and corporate guest houses, he opened his own independent business. Subsequently, through headhunting, he was involved in new openings and rebranding at hotels in Oita, Kagoshima, Tokyo, and Hokkaido, training many chefs. He served for two years as head chef of the French restaurant at “Hakuba Hotel Resort La Neige” in Hakuba Village, Nagano Prefecture. He has won and received awards in numerous cooking competitions hosted by France. He is also active as a member of the prestigious French culinary organization Les Toques Blanches International Club, a disciple member of the Japan Escoffier Association, and a gold member of La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Association. With his extensive experience and exceptional skills, he has established a solid position in the industry.
