Hotel La Vigne Hakuba will host the event \u201cExquisite Japanese Wine and French Cuisine: An Evening of Japanese Wine Tradition and Innovation with Chef Imanishi’s French Course\u201d on Saturday, June 21st, 2025, condensing the charm of Japanese wine into one evening.<\/p>\n

This time, we welcome winemakers from three historic wineries in Nagano, Yamanashi, and Yamagata, offering a precious opportunity to taste exquisite vintages nurtured by each region’s terroir.
\nFrom carefully selected back vintages to the latest vintages, enjoy wines showcasing the unique character of each region paired with French cuisine crafted by Chef Imanishi of LA VIGNE DINING F\u00d9DO, who was appointed as our new head chef in April.<\/p>\n

Nagano\u30fbObuse Winery\u3000Akihiko Soga<\/strong><\/p>\n

The family-run Obuse Winery, located in Obuse Town, Nagano Prefecture, was established as Obuse Brewery in 1867, began wine production in 1942, and since 1995 has focused on European grape varieties, gradually expanding their own vineyards while aiming to become a small domaine like those in Burgundy.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Yamagata\u30fbTakeda Winery\u3000Noriko Kishihira<\/strong><\/p>\n

Founded in 1920, Takeda Winery is located in Kaminoyama City, Yamagata Prefecture, and upholds \u201cwinemaking rooted in Japan’s terroir\u201d, continuing grape cultivation and wine production that begins with soil preparation. In 1989, they became the first in Japan to create sparkling wine using the Champagne method.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Yamanashi\u30fbKizan Wine Company\u3000Kozo Tsuchiya<\/strong><\/p>\n

Founded in 1937, Kizan Wine from Kizan Wine Company located in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, uses primarily grapes from their own vineyard and exclusively grapes cultivated in the Higashi-Yamanashi district, making it truly a wine of Yamanashi. This family-run winery aims to create wines rooted in the local community, cultivating mainly European varieties such as Chardonnay and Merlot in their own vineyard.<\/p>\n<\/div>
