Art Design<\/h1><\/div>

Throughout the hotel, from guest rooms to every corner of the property, we have incorporated carefully selected items that showcase the charm of local Shinshu traditional crafts, as well as original pieces created specifically for La Vigne Hakuba. We also provide carefully selected amenities to offer a refined and special space where guests can experience the region’s culture and natural environment firsthand.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Lobby:<\/h2><\/div>

The entrance hall features a high ceiling reminiscent of snow-viewing shoji screens, and traditional wooden lattice designs on the ceiling and the long front counter, evoking Japanese aesthetics throughout. We have also created a space where time flows slowly, like a lounge area, and provided sofa spaces for reading.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Interior:
\nMoe Ando<\/strong><\/p><\/h2><\/div>

We display works by artist Moe Ando, who has a studio in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture. Throughout the building, you can enjoy decorations and displays made from wood sourced from Nagano Prefecture, allowing you to feel the warmth of the wood.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Aroma and Amenities:
\nTOMOKO SAITO
\nAROMATIQUE STUDIO<\/strong><\/p><\/h2><\/div>

The entrance fragrance and bath amenities were created by Tomoko Saito, an aroma perfume designer at TS AROMATIQUE STUDIO. She visited Hakuba in person to experience the terroir and create the fragrance. Using essential oils extracted from grapes, you can detect a subtle grape scent.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Tableware:
\nMatsui Kiln \u201cMatsushiro Toen\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/h2><\/div>

Matsushiro ware is a traditional craft of Nagano Prefecture, preserving traditional materials and techniques from over 200 years ago. Its distinctive feature is the \u201cblue flowing glaze\u201d created when the glaze applied to the rim melts and flows in the kiln, resulting in unique patterns on each piece despite having the same shape. The Matsui Kiln, which manufactured these pieces, uses hot spring water in the glaze, creating coffee cups and teacups with a soft color palette.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Ceramic Ware:
\nHibino Pottery<\/strong><\/p><\/h2><\/div>

Hibino Pottery, located in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture, deals with Mino ware. Our hotel’s head chef personally visited and carefully selected these dishes.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Amenity Box:
\nRiemon<\/strong><\/p><\/h2><\/div>

The cypress amenity box is made by Riemon, a furniture maker in Yamagata Village. Its distinctive feature is that all four sides are composed of straight grain, making it appear as if cut from a single piece of wood. Not only is it practical, but it also has a pleasant tactile quality.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Lighting:
\nWalnut Glass<\/strong><\/p><\/h2><\/div>

These are pendant lights made of \u201cwalnut glass\u201d, created by mixing ash obtained from burning walnut shells, a specialty of Tomi City, Nagano Prefecture, with glass raw materials. They were produced at the glass workshop Daidai in Tomi City.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Lighting:
\nOkaya Silk<\/strong><\/p><\/h2><\/div>

These are stand\/pendant lights made with silk produced in Okaya City, which was known as the \u201cSilk City\u201d and boasted the world’s largest export of raw silk during the Meiji era.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Lighting:
\nGomoku (Goto Woodworking)<\/strong><\/p><\/h2><\/div>

These pendant lights were created by woodworker Mutsumi Goto of gomoku (Goto Woodworking) in Tomi City, using traditional wood-turning techniques. They are made from locally sourced chestnut wood.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Keyring Charm:
\nSakai Sangyo Co., Ltd.<\/strong><\/p><\/h2><\/div>

This key charm, designed in the shape of a grape, was produced by Sakai Sangyo Co., Ltd. in Kiso Town. The key holder design is inspired by the mountains of Hakuba Village.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Memo Box:
\nMitsuzodo<\/strong><\/p><\/h2><\/div>
